Primary Schools

Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Karama
Situated in Darwin’s north, the Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Karama was built and first opened to students in 1983. Catering to students from transition to Year 6, Holy Family also offers Early Learning facilitates for 2.5 – 5 year olds, as well as pre-school and after school programs available for local families. The school is small in size with approximately 235 students.

Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School, Wanguri
Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School is set in Wanguri, also in Darwin’s northern suburbs. Founded in 1979, the school currently has approximately 230 students enrolled and works closely with the Parish Priest and Church community.

St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Darwin
The oldest primary school in Darwin, St Mary’s is also the only school located within Darwin’s CBD. The school caters from students in Transition to Year 6, and also offers Early Learning for 3-5 year olds, as well as an Outside School Hours program, and Vacation Care. St Mary’s student population is as diverse as it is inclusive – welcoming students of all cultures and backgrounds.

St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Nightcliff
Established in 1967 on the lands of the Larrakai people, St Paul’s Catholic Primary School has a long proud history with the Diocese of Northern Territory. The school focuses on explicit teaching and a gradual-release learning model, engaging with the students, their families, and the local community to deliver high-achieving results.
Secondary Schools in Darwin

O'Loughlin Catholic College, Karama
O'Loughlin Catholic College is a co-educational secondary school, serving students from Year 7 to Year 12. Located in Darwin’s northern suburb of Karama, O’Loughlin Catholic College upholds the sentiment of the Vision ‘Make us one in Christ with faith, hope and love’. From transitioning into middle school to completing senior education, the school is committed to ensuring that students are given an enriching, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.

St John's Catholic College, Darwin
St John’s Catholic College is a secondary school in Darwin that welcomes local, international, and boarding students. First founded in 1960, today the school caters from Year 7 to 12. The school is spread across two campuses, connected by a walkway over the Darwin Botanical Gardens. The school curriculum is drawn from the Journey of Faith program (Religious Program) and the Australian schooling curriculum (for all other subjects).
