MacKillop Catholic College - Palmerston

Years 7 to 12 Co-Educational

Located in Palmerston, MacKillop Catholic College is a dynamic Years 7–12 co-educational community inspired by St Mary MacKillop's legacy of courage and compassion. Since 2012, the College has empowered students to lead with integrity, embrace diversity, and contribute meaningfully—placing Christ at the heart of every experience in a supportive, inclusive environment where every young person is valued as a unique gift.

In Years 7–9 (Middle Years), the Australian Curriculum provides a broad foundation with core subjects and electives in Languages, Technology, Health and Physical Education, and Arts, allowing students to explore interests progressively towards senior years.

For senior years (Years 10–12), students pursue the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET), based on SACE Stages 1 and 2, offering ATAR or non-ATAR pathways with flexible options like apprenticeships, traineeships, and distance education. Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses—nationally accredited through our RTO supports career exploration, work experience, and industry connections.

Electives spark passions with choices like Visual Art, Dance, Drama, Music, IT, Food Technology, Industrial Design, Rugby, Japanese, Italian, and Indonesian—delivered interactively, even for small groups. Hands-on facilities enhance real-world skills: on-site VET space, woodwork/metalwork with CNC plasma cutters and welding bays, and a large kitchen for culinary practice, alongside specialist technology, PE, and arts programs.

This holistic approach integrates faith to nurture the whole child, blending rigour with kindness for purposeful futures. Explore our Subject Handbook at mackillopnt.catholic.edu.au.
