St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School - Humpty Doo
Early Learning to Year 6 Co-Educational
Located in the heart of Humpty Doo, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School has been a beacon of learning and community since its establishment in 1997. Established to serve the rapidly growing population of the Darwin rural area, this welcoming school has grown into a cherished institution where children from Early Learning through to Year 6 thrive in a co-educational environment. At St Francis of Assisi, their philosophy is deeply rooted in the Gospel values of justice, respect, and courage. They strive to create a happy, supportive, and challenging learning environment that nurtures self-esteem and fosters the total development of each child—intellectually, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Every student is celebrated for their uniqueness and dignity, encouraging them to embrace their responsibility to love, care for, respect, and accept one another. It’s a place where your child’s individuality is not just recognised but honoured, setting the foundation for a lifetime of confidence and compassion.
The school proudly implements the Australian Curriculum, delivering comprehensive and progressive educational programs tailored to help every child reach their full potential. Dedicated educators will support your child from the moment they step into our Early Learning Centre until their final days in Year 6, inspiring curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
Imagine your child growing in a school where they’re encouraged to shine as individuals while being part of a tight-knit, caring community. St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School is not just educating students—they’re shaping kind, confident, and capable young people ready to make a positive mark on the world. School Highlights
Our accredited Early Learning Centre (ELC) offers a family-oriented program for children aged (2-5) two to five, set in a beautiful bush environment. With access to school resources like the library, the youngest learners feel safe, happy, and ready to explore their potential through play-based, intentional teaching.
Religious education is woven into daily life, following the ‘Journey in Faith’ program. We partner with families and the parish to support sacramental preparation, where we teach children the importance of compassion and service to others.
From our dedicated staff to our active school board, St. Francis of Assisi is a place where collaboration and connection thrive. Parents are welcomed as partners in their child’s education, with regular newsletters, events, and opportunities to engage, ensuring you’re always part of the journey.
