Helping community keep faith
Our Defence families are amongst us, keeping the faith in our close Catholic Community, as we know it. Catholic schools, in committing to our vision and as partners with Defence families in Catholic Education, provide a strong sense of community within Defence. Catholic Education NT recognises the importance of Defence School Mentors in our Schools providing support to our Defence families and community.
Catholic Education Northern Territory has an extraordinary, unique and modern history, ethos and traditions. Each Catholic school strives to live out its mission, in partnership with community, and supported by the Catholic Education Northern Territory Office, in providing quality Catholic education. “Sharers of the Vision” provides clear expectations for all staff in Catholic Education. True education is aimed at the formation of the human person. The person of each individual human being, and his or her material and spiritual needs, is at the heart of Christ’s teaching: this is the goal of the Catholic school.
Catholic Education in the Northern Territory is committed to developing authentic Catholic schools that are founded on the person of Jesus Christ and are enlivened by the Gospel, and are communities that link faith and life with our contemporary culture.
Our Schools commit to quality teaching and learning through providing a stimulating and challenging curriculum which links faith and culture, and as places of learning and excellence where children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Catholic Schools commit to making a difference in the world around them by fostering the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of each and every person, inspiring hope and a positive vision for the future.
